Made-to-Order Production

At Sole Society, each pair of shoes is crafted specifically for you. This made-to-order approach ensures the highest quality whilst supporting our local artisans and reducing waste.

Production Time: Please allow 14-17 working days for your shoes to be handcrafted.

How Our Shipping Works

1. Order Placed: You'll receive an order confirmation email immediately after placing your order.

2. Production Begins: Our skilled artisans begin handcrafting your shoes. This process takes 14-17 working days.

3. Quality Check: Before shipping, every pair undergoes a thorough quality inspection.

4. Shipping Notification: Once your shoes are ready, we'll send you:

  • A shipping confirmation email
  • Your tracking number
  • Estimated delivery timeframe

5. Delivery: Your shoes are on their way! Use your tracking number to monitor progress.

Free Shipping

Enjoy free shipping on all orders over R1,500! This applies to all delivery areas throughout South Africa.

Once your parcel is dispatched, you'll receive tracking information via:

  • Email
  • SMS (if mobile number provided)

Delivery Notes

Please note:

  • All delivery times are estimates and begin from dispatch date
  • We're not liable for delays caused by courier services, customs, or events beyond our control
  • Please ensure someone is available to receive your parcel
  • You may be required to sign for delivery

Rural or Remote Areas: Delivery may take additional time. We'll notify you if your area requires extended delivery timeframes.

Order Changes or Cancellations

Because each order is made specifically for you, we have limited ability to make changes once production begins.

Before Production Begins: Contact us immediately at store@sole-society.co.za or WhatsApp 084 519 4551 if you need to change or cancel your order.

After Production Begins: Unfortunately, we cannot cancel or modify orders once our artisans have started work on your shoes. Our standard returns policy will apply.

Missing or Damaged Parcels

Parcel Not Received: If your tracking shows delivered but you haven't received your parcel:

  1. Check with household members or neighbours
  2. Verify the delivery address on your order
  3. Contact us within 48 hours at store@sole-society.co.za

Damaged Parcel: If your parcel arrives damaged:

  1. Photograph the packaging and product immediately
  2. Do not wear or handle the shoes
  3. Contact us at store@sole-society.co.za within 24 hours with photos

We'll work with the courier and arrange a replacement or refund.

International Shipping

Currently, we ship within South Africa only. We're exploring international options for the future. If you're outside South Africa and interested in our shoes, please email store@sole-society.co.za and we'll notify you when international shipping becomes available.
